• Description: APOC3inhibits the activation of lipoprotein lipase by Apo CII. Reduced levels of APOC3result in higher fatty acid uptake from plasma triglycerides into adiposetissue. Thus, APOC3 is a potential target for treatment of obesity andinsulin resistance. The normal plasma concentration of APOC3 is 8-15 mg per100 ml.
