• Description: Human interferon beta (IFN-β) is produced in many cell types in response to viral infection, microorganisms, double-stranded RNA, and certain cytokines. IFN-β is known to regulate genes involved in antiviral, antiproliferative, and immunomodulatory activities. Endogenously expressed IFN-β-1a is a glycoprotein; however, nonglycosylated versions have demonstrated similar activities.

A carrier (such as albumin) is recommended if further dilution is needed. Store reconstituted IFN-β at -20°C (not in a frost-free freezer). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw.
