Description : Trace amine-associated receptor 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TAAR1 gene. TAAR1 is a G protein-coupled receptor activated by trace amines. Trace amines are endogenous amine compounds that account for less than 1% of the biogenic amines in most brain regions.
Physical Appearance : Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Formulation : The protein (1mg/ml) was lyophilized after from a sterile solution containing TBS pH-7.5, 0.1% BSA and 0.09% NaN3.
Purity : Greater than 95.0% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Dimers And Aggregates : Less than 1% as determined by silver stained SDS-PAGE gel analysis.
Endotoxin : Less than 0.1 ng/µg (IEU/µg) of rrRAP.
Solubility : It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized rrRAP in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Stability : Lyophilized rrRAP although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution rrRAP should be stored at 4°Cbetween 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
