• Description: TFB2M is a protein found in human mitochondria. It is homologous to bacterial rRNA methylytransferases and is needed for mitochondrial transcription. h-mtTFB2 can stimulate promoter specific mtDNA transcription in a pure recombinant in vitro system containing mitochondrial RNA polymerase (h-mtRNAP) and mitochondrial transcription factor A (h-mtTFA).
