Recombinant Human POLK Protein, His-tagged

Cat.No. : POLK-763H
Product Overview : This Human POLK Protein was over-expressed as a recombinant protein in E. coli with a plasmid carrying a C-terminal histidine-tagged human DNA polymerase (1-560 aa), and highly purified by several steps of chromatography.

Species : Human
Source : E.coli
Tag : His
Protein Length : 1-560 a.a.
Description : This gene encodes a member of the DNA polymerase type-Y family of proteins. The encoded protein is a specialized DNA polymerase that catalyzes translesion DNA synthesis, which allows DNA replication in the presence of DNA lesions. Human cell lines lacking a functional copy of this gene exhibit impaired genome integrity and enhanced susceptibility to oxidative damage.
Molecular Mass : 65 kDa
Purity : > 90% by SDS-PAGE (CBB staining)
Applications : 1) Functional studies on translesion DNA synthesis by DNA polymerase kappa
2) Antigen for western blotting and ELISA by anti-Pol kappa antibody
Storage : Sent at 4 centigrade or at -20 centigrade. Upon arrival, centrifuge briefly and store at -20 centigrade or at -80 centigrade for longer storage.
Concentration : 3.2 mg/mL as measured by BCA method
Storage Buffer : 0.2 M NaCl, 10 mM sodium phosphate buffer (pH 7.0), 50% glycerol
