Cat. No. : BID-2427H
Description : Bid is an abundant pro-apoptotic protein of the Bcl-2 family that is crucial for death receptor-mediated apoptosis in many cell systems. Bid action has been proposed to involve the mitochondrial re-location of its truncated from tBid, to facilitate the release of apoptogenic proteins like cytochrome c.
Source/Host : E. coli.
Concentration : 0.5mg/ml.
Purity : ≥95% (SDS-PAGE). Affinity purified.
Biological Activity : Facilitates Bax oligomerization and induces cytochrome c release in isolated mitochondria (10-50ng/ml).
Application : Studies of Bid/Bax interaction and in vitro cytochrome c release.
Formulation : Liquid. In PBS.
Long Term Storage : -80°C.
Protein length : 61-195 a.a.
