Recombinant Human Bone Morphogenetic Protein Receptor, Type IB, His-tagged

Cat.No. : BMPR1B-939H
Product Overview : Recombinant human BMPR1B, a 113 amino acids protein with polyhistidine tag at C-terminus, and has a calculated MW of 13.5 KDa. DTT-reduced protein migrates as 30 KDa protein due to glycosylation.

Description : BMPR1B is a protein which in humans is encoded by the BMPR1B gene. Bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) signal through the BMP type I and type II receptors to regulate cellular processes, including embryonic development. The type I BMP receptors activin-like kinase (ALK)3 and BMPR1B share a high degree of homology, yet possess distinct signaling roles. Decreased expression of BMPR-IB correlates with poor prognosis in breast cancer patients and leads to increased cell proliferation of breast cancer cells in vitro, and BMPR-IB mediates an inhibitory effect on breast cancer cells.
Form : Bulk protein in a 0.22 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH7.4 and delivered as liquid formulation or lyophilized powder. Normally 5-8% trehalose and mannitol are added as protectants before lyophilization.
Purity : >97% purity as determined by SDS-PAGE of reduced BMPR1B.
Endotoxin : Less than 0.01 ng endotoxin per μg BMPR1B.
Storage : Store at -80°C upon received. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
