• Description: CSF3 is a pleiotropic cytokine bestknown for its specific effects on the proliferation, differentiation, andactivation of hematopoietic cells of the neutrophilic granulocyte lineage. Itis produced mainly by monocytes and macrophages upon activation by endotoxin,TNFα and IFNγ. Other cell types including fibroblasts, endothelial cells,astrocytes and bone marrow stromal cells can also secrete GCSF after LPS, IL1or TNFα activation. In addition, various carcinoma cell lines andmyeloblastic leukemia cells can express CSF3 constitutively.

• Reconstitution: Centrifugevial prior to opening. We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifugedprior toopening to bring the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute in steriledistilled water or aqueous buffer containing 0.1% BSA to a concentration of0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Stock solutions should be apportioned into working aliquotsand stored at <-20°C. Further dilutions should be made in appropriatebuffered solutions.
• Storage: Thislyophilized preparation is stable at 2-8°C, but should be kept at -20°C forlong term storage, preferably desiccated. Upon reconstitution, the preparationis stable for up to one week at 2-8°C. For maximal stability, apportion thereconstituted preparation into working aliquots and store at -20°C to -70°C.Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
