Recombinant Mouse Nerve Growth Factor Receptor, Fc-tagged
Cat.No. : | Ngfr-1769M |
Product Overview : | The DNA sequence encoding the signal peptide from human CD33 joined with the extracellular domain of mouse nerve growth factor receptor, NGFR was fused to the Fc region of human IgG1 via a peptide linker, inserted into a suitable mammalian expression vector and expressed inNSOcells. |

Description : | Nerve growth factor receptor (NGFR), also known as the low-affinity receptor p75NTR is a transmembrane glycoprotein without intrinsic tyrosine kinase activity, whose expression is not restricted to neural cells. NGFR is reported to act as a tumour suppressor, negatively regulating cell growth and proliferation. It is also involved in several diverse functions such as apoptosis, neurite outgrowth during development, and myelination. p75NGFR contributes to delayed neuronal death (DND) after ischemia by an apoptotic mechanism. |
Molecular Weight : | The predicted molecular weight of Recombinant Mouse NGFR is Mr 50.4 kDa. However, the actual molecular weight as observed by migration on SDS Page is Mr 75-100 kDa. |
Source : | Mammalian cells |
State Of Matter : | Lyophilized. |
Purity : | >95% by SDS Page and analyzed by silver stain. |
Formulation : | This recombinant protein was 0.2 µm filtered and lyophilized from modified Dulbecco's phosphate buffered saline (1X PBS) pH 7.2 – 7.3 with no calcium, magnesium, or preservatives. |
Endotoxin : | <0.1 EU/µg as determined by the LAL method. |
Biological Activity : | The biological activity of Mouse NGF R was determined byits ability to inhibit rmβ-NGF-induced proliferation of TF-1 cells. The expected ED50 0.5 - 1.5 µg/ml in the presence of 2 ng/ml of rmβ-NGF. |
Storage And Stability : | This lyophilized protein is stable for six to twelve months when stored desiccated at -20℃ to -70℃. After aseptic reconstitution, this protein may be stored at 2℃ to 8℃ for one month or at -20℃ to -70℃ in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles. See Product Insert for exact lot specific storage instructions. |
