• Description: Murine Macrophage inflammatory protein 1 gamma is a monokine with inflammatory, pyrogenic and chemokinetic CC properties. When murine MIP-1 gamma binds to a high affinity receptor it activates CC calcium release in neutrophils. It also inhibits colony formation CC of bone marrow myeloid immature progenitors. This rec mMIP-1g is an 11.6 kDa protein containing 101 amino acid residues.
• Supplied: Protein with no additives.
• Purity: > 99% by SDS-Page analysis and HPLC analysis. Endotoxin level is less than 0.1ng per ug of MIP-1gamma.
• Reconstitution: The MIP-g is soluble in water and most aqueous buffers. The lyophilized powder should be reconstituted in water to a concentration of 1mg/ml. Let sit at least 30 minutes, tighten cap, rotate vial to reconstitute any material on sides of vial. If desired, you can centrifuge the vial for 1-2 minutes at 1000 rpm to concentrate material in bottom of vial. This material can be diluted into water or other buffered solutions or stored at - 20℃ for future use. It is recommended that further dilutions of the stock be made into buffer containing carrier protein or media containing serum.
• Reactivity: The murine MIP-1g biological activity was determined by a chemotaxis assay. Significant chemotaxis was achieved at a concentration of 100ng/ml.
• Storage: The powder, though stable at room temperature, is best stored desiccated below 0℃. Reconstituted MIP-1 gamma should be stored in working aliquots at -20 ℃. Avoid Frequent Freeze-Thaw Cycles.
