Species : Human
Source : Mammalian Cells
Tag : Non
Description : Transforming growth factor-beta 2 (TGF-β2) is a secreted protein known as a potent cytokine that modulates embryonic development, bone formation, mammary development, wound healing, hematopoiesis, cell cycle progression and the production of the extracellular matrix.
Molecular Weight : The predicted molecular weight of Recombinant Human TGF-β2 is Mr 25 kDa.
State Of Matter : Lyophilized.
Purity : >97% by SDS Page and analyzed by silver stain.
Endotoxin : <0.1 ng per 1 µg as determined by the LAL method.
Biological Activity : The biological activity of Human Transforming Growth Factor Beta 2 is determined by its ability to inhibit the mouse IL-4-dependent proliferation of mouse HT-2 cells. The ED50 was found to be <0.2 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of >5 x 106 units/mg.
Storage And Stability : This lyophilized protein is stable for six to twelve months when stored desiccated at -20°C to -70°C. After aseptic reconstitution, this protein may be stored at 2°C to 8°C for one month or at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
