Protein Length : 88-233;16-108 a.a.
Description : The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. This protein is a ligand for TNFRSF17/BCMA, a member of the TNF receptor family. This protein and its receptor are both found to be important for B cell development. In vitro experiments suggested that this protein may be able to induce apoptosis through its interaction with other TNF receptor family proteins such as TNFRSF6/FAS and TNFRSF14/HVEM.
Concentration : 0.1mg/ml after reconstitution.
Purity : ≥95% (SDS-PAGE).
Formulation : Lyophilized. Contains PBS.
Endotoxin Content : <0.1EU/µg purified protein (LAL test; Bio Whittaker).
Reconstitution : Reconstitute with 100µl sterile water. Further dilutions should be made with medium containing 5% fetal calf serum.
Specificity : Binds to human and mouse BCMA and TACI. Binds to proteoglycans.
Biological Activity : Stimulates proliferation of serum-starved NIH 3T3 cells. Stimulates B cell proliferation.
