Description : | As the initiator Met is cleaved, Alpha Nmethyltransferase melthylates the Nterminus of target proteins containing the N terminal motif [Ala/Pro/Ser]ProLys. In the alphaamino group of Ala or Ser residue of [AlaSer]ProLys motif and mono or dimethylation of Pro in the ProProLys motif, AlphaNmethyltransferase catalyzes mono , di or trimethylation. NTM1 is responsible for the N terminal methylation of ribosomal protein, such as RPL12A, RPL12B, RPS25A, RPS25B. |
Form : | Lyophilized from a 0.2 μM filtered solution of 20mM PB, 150mM NaCl, pH 7.4 |
Purity : | Greater than 95% as determined by SEC-HPLC and reducing SDS-PAGE. |
Notes : | For research use only. |
Storage : | Lyophilized protein should be stored at less than 20°C. though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks.Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7°C. for 2-7 days.Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at less than 20°C. for 3 months. |
