Description : | Protein S100-A12 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the S100A12 gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the S100 family of proteins containing 2 EF-hand calcium-binding motifs. S100 proteins are localized in the cytoplasm and/or nucleus of a wide range of cells, and involved in the regulation of a number of cellular processes such as cell cycle progression and differentiation. S100 genes include at least 13 members which are located as a cluster on chromosome 1q21. |
Source : | E. coli |
Species : | Human |
Form : | Filtered (0,4 μm) and lyophilized in 0.5 mg/mL in 20mM TRIS, 50mM NaCl, pH 7.5. |
Reconstitution : | Add deionized water to prepare a working stock solution of approximately 0.5 mg/mL and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely. Product is not sterile! Please filter the product by an appropriate sterile filter before using it in the cell culture. |
Applications : | Western blotting |
Quality Control Test : | BCA to determine quantity of the protein; SDS PAGE to determine purity of the protein |
Sequences of amino acids : | MKHHHHHHAS TKLEEHLEGI VNIFHQYSVR KGHFDTLSKG ELKQLLTKEL ANTIKNIKDK AVIDEIFQGL DANQDEQVDF QEFISLVAIA LKAAHYHTHK E |
Storage : | Store lyophilized protein at -20°C. Lyophilized protein remains stable until the expiry date when stored at -20°C. Aliquot reconstituted protein to avoid repeated freezing/thawing cycles and store at -80°C for long term storage. Reconstituted protein can be stored at 4°C for a limited period of time; it does not show any change after one week at 4°C. |
Pathways : | Activated TLR4 signalling; Advanced glycosylation endproduct receptor signaling; Innate Immunity Signaling; MyD88 cascade initiated on plasma membrane; MyD88 dependent cascade initiated on endosome; MyD88-independent cascade initiated on plasma membrane; NFkB and MAP kinases activation mediated by TLR4 signaling repertoire; RIG-I/MDA5 mediated induction of IFN-alpha/beta pathways; Signaling in Immune system; TAK1 activates NFkB by phosphorylation and activation of IKKs complex; TRAF6 Mediated Induction of proinflammatory cytokines; TRAF6 mediated NF-kB activation; TRAF6 mediated induction of NFkB and MAP kinases upon TLR7/8 or 9 activation; Toll Like Receptor 2 Cascade; Toll Like Receptor 3 (TLR3) Cascade |
