Cat. No. : PPA1-1397H
Description : PPA1 belongsto the PPA1 family. This protein is an enzyme that catalyzesthe conversion of one molecule of pyrophosphate to two phosphate ions. PPA1 catalyzesthis hydrolysis reaction in the early steps of lipid degradation, a prominentexample of this phenomenon. By promoting the rapid hydrolysis ofpyrophosphate (PPi), PPA1 provides the driving force for the activation offatty acids destined for oxidation.
