Description : This gene encodes a member of the peptidase M10 family of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). Proteins in this family are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as in disease processes, such as arthritis and metastasis. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate the mature protease. This secreted protease breaks down proteoglycans, fibronectin, elastin and casein and differs from most MMP family members in that it lacks a conserved C-terminal hemopexin domain. The enzyme is involved in wound healing, and studies in mice suggest that it regulates the activity of defensins in intestinal mucosa. The gene is part of a cluster of MMP genes on chromosome 11. This gene exhibits elevated expression levels in multiple human cancers.
Form : Freeze-dried powder. Buffer composition: 20mM Tris, 150mM NaCl buffer (pH8.0, containing 1mM EDTA, 1mM DTT, 0.01% SKL, 5% Trehalose and Proclin300).
Molecular Mass : Predicted Molecular Mass: 33.3 kDa. Accurate Molecular Mass: 33 kDa as determined by SDS-PAGE reducing conditions.
Endotoxin : <1.0 EU/µg (LAL method)
Purity : > 90%
Applications : SDS-PAGE; WB; ELISA; IP;CoIP; Purification; Amine Reactive Labeling. (May be suitable for use in other assays to be determined by the end user).
Stability : The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 centigrade for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage : Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Store at 2-8 centigrade for one month. Aliquot and store at -80 centigrade for 12 months.
Concentration : Original: 200μg/mL
Reconstitution : Reconstitute in 20mM Tris, 150mM NaCl (pH8.0) to a concentration of 0.1-1.0mg/mL. Do not vortex.
