Description : MVD, also known as diphosphomevalonate decarboxylase, catalyzes the conversion of mevalonate pyrophosphate into isopentenyl pyrophosphate in one of the early steps in cholesterol biosynthesis. It decarboxylates and dehydrates its substrate while hydrolyzing ATP.
Form : Liquid. In 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing 20% glycerol, 1mM DTT.
Molecular Weight : 45.6 kDa (420aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF.
Purity : >85% by SDS-PAGE
