roduct Overview : Recombinant human LTAwas expressed in Hi-5 Insect cells and purified by using SDS PAGE and HPLC.
Description : LTA is a potentmediator of inflammatory and immune responses. It belongs to the TNFsuperfamily of ligands and signals through TNFR1 and TNFR2. LTA is producedby activated T and B lymphocytes, and has similar activities to TNF-alpha.Like TNF-alpha, LTA is involved in the regulation of various biologicalprocesses incuding cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, lipidmetabolism, coagulation, and neurotransmission. LTA is secreted as a solublepolypeptide, but can form heterotrimers with lymphotoxin-beta, whicheffectively anchors the LTA to the cell surface. LTA is cytotoxic to a widerange of tumor cells.
Form : Lyophilizedfrom 10mM Na3PO4, pH 7.0, with 50 mM NaCl. Reconstitute in Water to aconcentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml.
Purity : >98% pure by SDSPAGE and HPLC
