Description : This gene encodes a type-I membrane protein that is related to beta-glucosidases. Reduced production of this protein has been observed in patients with chronic renal failure (CRF), and this may be one of the factors underlying the degenerative processes (e.g., arteriosclerosis, osteoporosis, and skin atrophy) seen in CRF. Also, mutations within this protein have been associated with ageing and bone loss.
Source : CHO
Tissue specificity : Present in cortical renal tubules (at protein level). Soluble peptide is present in serum and cerebrospinal fluid. Expressed in kidney, placenta, small intestine and prostate. Down-regulated in renal cell carcinomas, hepatocellular carcinomas, and in chro
Biological activity : Biological Activity :Determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of murine NIH3T3 cells.
Form : Lyophilised:Reconstituted KL-29904TH is stable for at least 3 months when stored in working aliquots with a carrier protein at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Purity : >95% by SDS-PAGE
Storage : Store at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C
