Description : | Fibroblast Growth Factor-20 (FGF-20). The FGF family plays important roles in morphogenesis, cellular differentiation, angiogenesis, tissue remodeling, inflammation and oncogenesis. Fibroblast Growth Factor-20 (FGF-20) is a newly discovered neurotrophic factor belonging to the FGF family. FGF-20 is most similar to FGF-9 and FGF-16. |
Supplied : | Sterile filtered and the the protein was lyophilized from 20mM Tris, pH7.6 & 1.5M NaCl (no additives). |
Purity : | >97% by SDS-Page and HPLC analyses. Endotoxin level is less than 0.1ng per ug (1EU/ug) of FGF-20. |
Reconstitution : | The lyophilized FGF-20 should be reconstituted in 20mM TRIS, pH7.6 or DI water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0mg/ml. Allow to set at least 30 minutes at 4°C, tighten cap and rotate to reconstitute any material on sides of vial. If desired, you can centrifuge at 1000 rpm for 1 minute to concentrate volume in bottom of vial. This solution can be diluted into water or other buffered solutions and stored at 4°Cfor up to 1 week or stored at -20℃ for future use. |
Note : | If this material is not to be used for coating or labeling(or other applications requiring carrier free material), the addition of 0.1% BSA to dilution buffers or dilution in sterile culture media is recommended to enhance stability and minimize absorption to vial. Ideally, maintain concentration greater than 10ug/ml. |
Reactivity : | The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of thymidine uptake by BaF3 cells expressing FGF receptors is < 10 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 1 x 105units/mg. |

Storage : | The lyophilized powder is stable at room temperature for a few weeks but it is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted human FGF-20 should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C. |
