• Description: CDKN2C(Cyclin-dependent kinase 4 inhibitor C ) belongs to the CDKN2cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor family. It has been shown to interact withCDK4 or CDK6, and prevent the activation of the CDK kinases, thus function asa cell growth regulator that controls cell cycle G1 progression. And thisprotein suppresses the cell growth and proliferation with a correlateddependence on endogenous retinoblastoma protein RB. Studies in the knockout micesuggested the roles of this gene in regulating spermatogenesis, as well as insuppressing tumorigenesis.
