• Description: Recombinant HIV-2 (Rod) core p26 protein is produced as a Glutathione S-transferase (GST) fusion protein in the E.coli expression system. This protein shows binding to HIV-2 converted human serum polyclonal antibodies as determined by ELISA and Western ELISA. This protein does not show binding to HIV-1 converted human serum antibodies as determined by dot blot Elisa assays.

• Notes: Recommended concentrations for use are approximate values. A dose dependent response assay should be performed to determine the optimal concentration for use in specific applications. Western ELISA may be performed in 100-500ng depending on the specificity of the primary antibody used in the test system.
