• Description: Chlamydia is a common term for infection with any bacterium belonging to the phylum Chlamydiae. This term derives from the name of the bacterial genus Chlamydiain the family Chlamydiaceae, order Chlamydiales, class and phylum Chlamydiae. There are two genera in Chlamydiaceae: Chlamydia and Chlamydophila. The genus Chlamydia includes three species: C. trachomatis, C. muridarum, and C. suis.
• Form: 50mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0, 8M Urea, 60 mM NaCl and 50% glycerol.
• Purity: Chlamydia HSP70 protein is >95% pure as determined by 10% PAGE (coomassie staining) and RP-HPLC.
• Applications: Chlamydia HSP70 protein is suitable for use in ELISA. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
• Usage: The products are furnished for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as drugs, agricultural or pesticidal products, food additives or household chemicals.
• Specificity: Immunoreactive with sera of Chlamydia Trachomatis infected individuals.
• Storage: Chlamydia HSP70 although stable at 4°C for 1 week, should be stored below -18°C.
