Cat. No. : APOC1-616H
Description : HumanApolipoprotein CI (APOC1) is a lipoprotein with a length of 57 amino acids.Human APOC1 is one of the most positively charged proteins in the humanbody. The main function of APOC1 is inhibition of CETP, probably byaltering the electric charge of HDL molecules. Recent studies have suggestedthat APOC1 in very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) plays an important role incausing hypertriglyceridemia independent of APOC3, which is associated withcoronary heart disease (CHD). APOC1 has been found to activate LCAT. Thenormal plasma concentration of APOC1 is 4-7 mg/dl.
