Description : Unc5a is a member ofthe UNC5 family of type I transmembrane proteins within the immunoglobulinsuperfamily. UNC5H14 have two Ig and one or two thrombospondin type 1 domainin their extracellular regions, and a ZU5 domain, a DCC binding domain and aC-terminal death domain in their cytoplasmic regions. Rat Unc5a cDNA encodes898 amino acids including a 25 aa signal peptide, a 336 aa extracellulardomain with two TSP1 domains, and a 516 aa cytoplasmic domain.
