Cat. No. : Epor-461M
Description : Erythropoietin (Epo),a glycoprotein produced primarily by the kidney, is the principal factor thatregulates erythropoiesis by stimulating the proliferation and differentiationof erythroid progenitor cells. The biological effects of Epo are mediated by theEpor. A member of the hematopoietic growth factor receptor superfamily which includesIL2, IL3, IL4, IL5, IL6, IL7, GMCSF, GCSF, thrombopoietin, LIF, CNTF, growth hormone, and prolactin.
Source : Mammalian cells
Form : Lyophilized from a 0.2μm filtered solution in PBS, EDTA and CHAPS.
N-terminalSequence : Ala25
Molecular Weight : 51.3 kDa
Activity : Measuredby its ability to inhibit Epodependent proliferation of TF1 human erythroleukemiccells. Kitamura, T. et al. (1989) J. Cell Physiol. 140:323. The ED50for this effect is typically 12.5-50 ng/mL in the presence of 16 ng/mL of rmEpo.
Endotoxin Level : <1.0 EUper 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Purity : >90%,by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Reconstitution : Reconstituteat 100 μg/mL in sterile PBS
Storage : Use a manualdefrost freezer and avoid repeated freezethaw cycles. 12 months from date of receipt, -20 to -70°C as supplied.1 month, 2 to 8°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution. 3 months,-20 to -70°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
Protein length : 25-249 a.a.
