This receptor is composed of 2 chains, IFNAR1 and IFNAR2. IFNAR2 is a type I membrane protein tyrosine kinase that is widely expressed in different tissues and is a member of the type II cytokine receptor family. It is expressed inHuman 293 cells.

This compares with unmodified IFNAR2 - Fc Chimera that has a predicted monomeric molecular mass of 52 kDa.
• pI: IFNAR2 – Fc Chimera separates into a number of isoforms with a pI between 5.0 and 6.0 in 2D PAGE due to post-translational modifications, in particular glycosylation.

• Glycosylation: IFNAR2 - Fc Chimera contains N- and O-linked oligosaccharides.
