Description : This gene encodes a member of the DEAH-containing family of RNA helicases. The encoded protein is an enzyme that catalyzes the ATP-dependent unwinding of double-stranded RNA and DNA-RNA complexes. This protein localizes to both the nucleus and the cytoplasm and functions as a transcriptional regulator. This protein may also be involved in the expression and nuclear export of retroviral RNAs. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Pseudogenes of this gene are found on chromosomes 11 and 13.

Purity : ≥80% as determined by SDS-PAGE
Usage : Activity was measured using the Transcreener ADP2 FP Assay (50 μM ATP and 0.1 mg/mL Yeast RNA substrate mix in 50 mM Tris-HCl pH 7.5, 0.25 mM MgCl2, and 0.01% Triton X-100); 10 μL Enzyme Reaction incubated at 30 centigrade for 60 minutes in a Corning low-volume 384-well plate. 20 μL Complete Reaction read on CLARIOstar Plus instrument. Fluorescent polarization values were converted to ADP formation with a 50 μM ADP Standard Curve and ADP formation was plotted using Prism (GraphPad). Under these conditions, it is recommended to use DHX9 Enzyme in the 10 μL Enzyme Reaction at a concentration between the EC50 and EC80 of the enzyme titration for a robust signal in the linear range.
Storage : Store at -80 centigrade.
Storage Buffer : 50 mM Tris-HCl, 200 mM NaCl, 1 mM TCEP, 1 mM EDTA, 10% Glycerol, pH 7.5
Concentration : 0.2 mg/mL (1.59 μM)
