Description : CD207 is a type IItransmembrane glycoprotein which is member K of the C type lectin domainfamily 4. CD207 is used as a marker for Langerhans cells (LCs) whichrepresent the immature dendritic cells in the epidermis. LCs uniquely containtennis racket shaped endosomal recycling compartment subdomains withpentalamellar membranes termed Birbeck granules. CD207 is necessary andsufficient for Birbeck granule formation.
Form : Lyophilized from a0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS.
N-terminalSequence : His
Molecular Weight : 31 kDa
Activity : Measuredby its ability to bind biotinylated Mannose-Polyacrylamide in a functionalELISA. Valladeau, J. et al. (2000) Immunity 12:71.
Endotoxin Level : <1.0 EUper 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method.
SDS-PAGE : 35-40kDa, reducing conditions
Purity : >95%,by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Reconstitution : Reconstituteat 100 μg/mL in sterile PBS
