Description : This geneencodes a subunit of the asialoglycoprotein receptor. This receptor is atransmembrane protein that plays a critical role in serum glycoproteinhomeostasis by mediating the endocytosis and lysosomal degradation ofglycoproteins with exposed terminal galactose or N-acetylgalactosamine residues. The asialoglycoprotein receptor may facilitate hepatic infection by multipleviruses including hepatitis B, and is also a target for liver-specific drugdelivery. The asialoglycoprotein receptor is a hetero-oligomeric proteincomposed of major and minor subunits, which are encoded by different genes. The protein encoded by this gene is the more abundant major subunit.Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms havebeen observed for this gene.
Purity : >90% by SDSPAGE
Form : Lyophilizedfrom a 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS. See Certificate of Analysis fordetails.
EndotoxinLevel : <1.0EU per 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method.
MolecularWeight : 38kDa, reducing conditions
Activity : Measuredby its binding ability in a functional ELISA. rhASGPR1 immobilized at 2.5μg/mL (100 μL/well) on a Mouse Anti-polyHistidine Monoclonal Antibody coatedplate can bind biotinylated β-Gal-NAc-PAA with a linear range of 5-300 ng/mL.
Reconstitution : Reconstituteat 100 μg/mL in sterile PBS.
Storage : 12 months from date of receipt, 20 to 70 oC assupplied. 1 month, 2 to 8 °C under sterile conditions after reconstitution. 3months, 20 to 70°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
