This special binding mode enables protein L to bind to a wider range of antibody types and subtypes, such as human IgG, IgM, IgA, IgD containing kappa light chains, mouse IgG, IgM, rat IgG, Fab fragment, single chain variable region fragment (ScFv), etc. Recombinant protein L was genetically engineered to express 5 antibody-binding domains of natural protein L, which has the complete antibody-binding function of natural protein L.
