• Description: Murine macrophage / monocyte chemotactic protein-5 (MCP-5) is a member of the b-chemokine family (C-C) of cytokines. This chemokine is strongly chemotactic for human monocytes and murine peritoneal macrophages, but is not active on mouse neutrophils and shows only a weak response on mouse eosinophils at high concentrations.

• Biologically Activity: The biological activity of murine MCP-5 was determined by a chemotaxis assay using human peripheral blood monocytes. Significant chemotaxis was achieved using a concentration of 50 ng/ml.
