Cat. No. : Kitl-1243M
Description : Kitl (also known asSCF, kit-ligand, KL, or steel factor) is a cytokine that binds to the c-Kitreceptor (CD117). Kitl can exist both as a transmembrane protein and asoluble protein. This cytokine plays an important role in hematopoiesis(formation of blood cells), spermatogenesis, and melanogenesis.
Source : Hordeum vulgare(barley grain)
Species : Human
Form : Lyophilized from a0.2 µm sterile filtered solution in 30 mM sodium acetate + 0.7 M NaCl, pH 4.5
Purity : > 98% asdetermined by SDS-PAGE analysis
Endotoxin Level : < 0.005 ng/µg ofSCF
Biological Activity : Determined bymeasuring the dose dependent effect of mouse SCF on proliferation of thefactor-dependent human erythroleukemic cell line TF-1. The ED50 range is8.4-12.8 ng/ml.
Reconstitution : Centrifuge vialprior to opening. Add sterile PBS to the vial to fully solubilize the proteinto a concentration not less than 50 µg/ml.
Storage : Store lyophilizedprotein at -20°C and reconstituted protein in working aliquots at -20°C witha carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) as a stabilizer for long term storage. Pleasenote that the addition of any carrier protein into this product may produce unwantedendotoxin. This depends upon the particular application employed. Avoidrepeated freeze-thaw cycles.
