Description : ImmunoglobulinG (IgG) is antibody molecules. Each Ighg iscomposed of four peptide chains-two heavy chains γ and two light chains. EachIghg has two antigen binding sites. Ighg antibodies are involved in predominantly the secondaryimmune response. The presence of specific Ighg,in general, corresponds to maturation of the antibody response. It also playsan important role in Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity(ADCC) andIntracellular antibody-mediated proteolysis, in which it binds to TRIM21 (thereceptor with greatest affinity to IgG in humans) in order to direct markedvirions to the proteasome in the cytosol.
