It has previously been shown that WT Lymphotactin (XCL1) is able to interconvert between two distinct conformations under physiological conditions. In one conformation, Lymphotactin exists as a monomer and is able to bind to its receptor, XCR1. In the other conformation, XCL1 exists as a dimer and loses its affinity for XCR1.
