Description : This gene encodes a member of the chemokine superfamily. Chemokines function in inflammatory and immunological responses, inducing leukocyte migration and activation. The encoded protein is a member of the C-chemokine subfamily, retaining only two of four cysteines conserved in other chemokines, and is thought to be specifically chemotactic for T cells. This gene and a closely related family member are located on the long arm of chromosome 1.
Source : E. coli
Tissue specificity : Highest level in spleen, lower in peripheral leukocytes and very low levels in lung, colon and small intestine.
Biological activity : Biological Activity:The Biological activity is calculated by its ability to chemoattract human T cells at 10.0-100.0 ng/ml.
Form : Lyophilised:Reconstitute in sterile 18MO-cm H2O not less than 100μg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.Upon reconstitution XCL1-27983TH should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term st
Purity : >95% by SDS-PAGE
Storage buffer : Preservative: NoneConstituents: ddH20
Storage : Store at -20°C or lower.Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Sequences of amino acids : The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Gln-Ser-Glu-Val-Ser.
Sequence Similarities : Belongs to the intercrine gamma family.
