• Description: TNFRII is a member of the TNFR family of transmembrane proteins, and is expressed in immune cells and certain endothelial cells. It is a high affinity receptor for TNF-alpha but manifests a lower affinity to TNF-beta. Signaling through this receptor regulates various biological processes including cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, lipid metabolism, coagulation, and neurotransmission. Soluble TNFRII is capable of inhibiting TNF-alpha induced activities by acting as a decoy receptor.

• Supplied: Lyophilized protein from 10mM Tris, pH8.0 + 50mM NaCl.
• Note: If this material is not to be used for coating or labeling (or other applications requiring carrier free material), the addition of 0.1% BSA to dilution buffers or dilution in sterile culture media is recommended to enhance stability and minimize absorption to vial. Ideally, maintain stock >50ug/ml.
• Purity: >98% by SDS-Page analysis. Endotoxin level is less than 0.1ng per ug (1EU/ug) of human sTNFR2.
• Reconstitution: The lyophilized sTNFR2 is soluble in water and most aqueous buffers. The lyophilized powder should first be quick spun in vial, then reconstituted in water to a concentration of 1ug/ul. Allow to set at least 30 minutes at 4℃. If desired, can centrifuge for 1 minute at 1000 rpm to concentrate material in vial. This solution can be diluted into water or other buffered solutions or stored at -20℃ for future use.
• Reactivity: Determined by its inhibitory effect of the TNF- alpha mediated cytoxicity in murine L929 cells. The Ed₅₀for this effectin the presence of 0.25ng/ml of recombinant human TNF-Ala is 0.125ug/ml.
• Storage: The lyophilized powder, though stable at room temperature, is best stored dessicated below 0℃. Reconstituted sTNFR2 should be stored in working aliquots at -20℃. Avoid Frequent Freeze-Thaw Cycles.
