Cat. No. : RNF11-2534H
Description : RING finger protein 11 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RNF11 gene. The protein encoded by this gene contains a RING-H2 finger motif, which is known to be important for protein-protein interactions. The expression of this gene has been shown to be induced by mutant RET proteins (MEN2A/MEN2B). The germline mutations in RET gene are known to be responsible for the development of multiple endocrine neoplasia (MEN).
Source : E.coli.
Biochem/physiol Actions : RNF11 (RING Finger Protein 11) is a RING E3 ubiquitin ligase with potential to mediate ubiquitination and subsequent proteolysis.1,2 RNF11 binds numerous proteins in a variety of cellular pathways, including TGFβ and EGFR signaling.3,1,2 RNF11 expression is elevated in breast and prostate cancer. RNF11 may represent an important target for novel cancer therapies.
