Recombinant Human Matrix Metallopeptidase 9 (gelatinase B, 92kDa gelatinase, 92kDa type IV collagenase), His-tagged

Cat.No. : MMP9-1443H
Product Overview : MMP9 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is single, a non-glycosylated, Polypeptide chain containing 688 amino acids fragment (20-707) corresponding to the pro form of the protein minus the signal peptide, having a total molecular mass of 65 kDa and fused with a 4.5 kDa amino-terminal hexahistidine tag. The MMP9 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Description : The MMP9 is secreted as a 92 kDa zymogen. Cleavage of MMP9 results in the active enzyme, having a molecular weight of approximately 82 kDa. MMP9 is composed of the following domains: a gelatin-binding domain consisting of three fibronectin type II units, a catalytic domain containing the zinc-binding site, a proline-rich type V collagen-homologous domain and a hemopexin-like domain. MMP9 is produced by the several cell types: monocytes, macrophages, neutrophils, keratinocytes, fibroblasts, osteoclasts and endothelial cells.
Form : MMP9 protein is supplied in 1 x PBS and 50% glycerol.
Purity : Greater than 95.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Physical Appearance : Sterile Filtered clear solution.
Storage : Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. Please avoid freeze thaw cycles.
