Cat. No. : LTA-260H
Description : Lymphotoxin alpha, a member of the tumor necrosis factor family, is a cytokineproduced by lymphocytes. LTA is highly inducible, secreted, and exists as homotrimeric molecule. LTA forms heterotrimers with lymphotoxin-beta which anchors lymphotoxin-alpha to the cell surface. LTA mediates a large variety of inflammatory, immunostimulatory, and antiviral responses. LTA is also involved in the formation of secondary lymphoid organs during development and plays a role in apoptosis.
Source : Insect cells.
Purity : > 95% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analysis.
Endotoxin Level : < 0.1 ng per μg of TNF-beta.
Stabilizer : None.
Formulation : Lyophilized.
Biologically Activity : The ED50was determined by the cytolysis of murine L929 cells in the presence of actinomycin D is < 0.05 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 2 x 107 units/mg.
Reconstitution : The human TNF-beta should be reconstituted in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can be diluted in water or other buffer solutions or stored at -20°C.
Stability : The lyophilized protein is stable for a few weeks at room temperature, but best stored at -20°C. Reconstituted human TNF-beta should be stored in working aliquots at -20℃. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
