Description : | Lymphotoxin beta receptor (LTBR), a receptor for lymphotoxin, is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) family of receptors. It is expressed on the surface of most cell types, including cells of epithelial and myeloid lineages. LTBR specifically binds the lymphotoxin membrane form (a complex of lymphotoxin-alpha and lymphtoxin-beta). The encoded protein and its ligand play a role in the development and organization of lymphoid tissue and tranformed cells. Activation of the encoded protein can trigger apoptosis. LTBR pathway is important in the development and maintenance of lymphoid structures. Blocking this pathway has proved beneficial in autoimmune diseases such as diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis. |
Sequence : | Human LT βR (Ser28-Met227) & (Gln31 Met227) - DIEGRMD Human IgG1 (Pro100-Lys330) - 6x His tag. |
Molecular Weight : | The predicted molecular weight of Recombinant Human Lymphotoxin βR is 49.6 kDa. However, the actual molecular weight as observed by migration on SDS Page is 70 kDa. |
State Of Matter : | Lyophilized. |
Formulation : | This recombinant protein was 0.2 µm filtered and lyophilized from modified Dulbecco's phosphate buffered saline (1X PBS) pH 7.2 – 7.3 with no calcium, magnesium, or preservatives. |
Purity : | >95% by SDS Page and analyzed by silver stain. |
Endotoxin : | <1.0 EU/µg as determined by the LAL method. |
Biological Activity : | Immobilized Lymphotoxin βR has been used for affinity purification of Lymphotoxin α1/ß2 heterotrimers. |
Storage : | This lyophilized protein is stable for six to twelve months when stored desiccated at -20℃ to -70℃. After aseptic reconstitution, this protein may be stored at 2℃ to 8℃ for one month or at -20℃ to -70℃ in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles. See Product Insert for exact lot specific storage instructions. |
