Description : The protein IL1 R4, also known as T1, ST2, is a member of the interleukin-1 receptor family with a soluble secreted form (sST2) and a transmembrane form (ST2L). The coding gene forms a cytokine receptor gene cluster together with IL1 R1(interleukin 1 receptor, type I), IL1R2(interleukin 1 receptor, type II) and IL1RL2(interleukin 1 receptor-like 2) genes in a region mapped to chromosome 2q12. As an important mediator involved in many immune and inflammatory responses, this cytokine has been implicated as a regulator of both the development and effector phases of type 2 helper T cell responses, and as a negative feedback modulator of macrophage pro-inflammatory function. Interleukin (IL)-33 is a specific ligand of ST2L and induces production of Th2 cytokines.
State Of Matter : Lyophilized.
Purity : >97% by SDS Page and analyzed by silver stain.
Endotoxin : <1.0 EU/µg as determined by the LAL method.
Molecular Weight : The predicted molecular weight of Recombinant Human IL-1 R4 is Mr 62.5 kDa. However, the actual molecular weight as observed by migration on SDS Page is Mr 100 kDa.
Storage And Stability : This lyophilized protein is stable for six to twelve months when stored desiccated at -20°C to -70°C. After aseptic reconstitution, this protein may be stored at 2°C to 8°C for one month or at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
