• Bio-activity: The ED50 of HGF is typically 20 - 40 ng/ml as measured in a cell proliferation assay using the human HepG2 cell line.
• Molecular Mass: Under reducing conditions HGF migrates as a broad band between 80 and 110 kDa in SDS-PAGE due to post-translational modifications, in particular glycosylation. This compares with unmodified HGF that has a predicted monomeric molecular mass of 79.7 kDa.
• Purity: >95%, as determined by SDS-PAGE and visualised by Coomassie Brilliant Blue.
• Storage: Lyophilised products should be stored at 2 to 8 centigrade. Following reconstitution short-term storage at 4 centigrade is recommended and longer-term storage of aliquots at -18 to -20 centigrade.
  Repeated freeze thawing is not recommended.
• Reconstitution: It is recommended that 0.5 ml of sterile phosphate-buffered saline be added to the vial.
