Description : GARS, also known as glycyl-tRNA synthetase, is one of the aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases that charge tRNAs with their cognate amino acids. This enzyme is an (alpha)2 dimer which belongs to the class II family of tRNA synthetases. It has been shown to be a target of autoantibodies in the human autoimmune diseases, polymyositis or dermatomyositis. Recombinant human GARS protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
Form : Liquid. In 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing 0.15M NaCl, 10% glycerol, 1mM DTT
Molecular Mass : 30.0 kDa (270aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF
