• Description: Carboxypeptidase N Subunit 2 (CPN2) is a secreted protein and contains two glycosylated inactive chains and tetramer of two catalytic chains. In sequence similarities, CPN2 contains twelve LRR (leucine-rich) repeats, one LRRCT domain, and one LRRNT domain. CPN2 also indirectly inhibits gastric mill neurons and ventricular dilator neuron by its activation of LG. The 83 kDa subunit binds and stabilizes the catalytic subunit at 37 degrees Celsius and keeps it in circulation. Under some circumstances it may be an allosteric modifier of the catalytic subunit.
