Recombinant Human CD27 Molecule, Fc-His
Cat.No. : | CD27-1592H |
Product Overview : | Recombinant human CD27 (amino acid residues 1-192) containing the extracellular domain was fused to the carboxy-terminal 6X his-tagged Fc region of human IgG1. The chimeric protein was expressed inNSO cells. |

Description : | CD27 is a tumor necrosis factor receptor. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This receptor is required for generation and long-term maintenance of T cell immunity. It exists as both a disulfide-linked dimer on the cell surface and as a soluble protein found in serum. It binds to ligand CD70 which is expressed on thymic stromal cells and a small subset of activated T cells and plays a key role in regulating B-cell activation and immunoglobulin synthesis. This receptor transduces signals that lead to the activation of NF-κB and MAPK8/JNK. Adaptor proteins TRAF2 and TRAF5 have been shown to mediate the signaling process of this receptor. CD27-binding protein (SIVA), a proapoptotic protein, can bind to this receptor and is thought to play an important role in the apoptosis induced by this receptor. |
Molecular Weight : | The predicted molecular weight of Recombinant Human CD27 is Mr 46.5 kDa. However, the actual molecular weight as observed by migration on SDS Page is Mr 60-70 kDa. |
State Of Matter : | Lyophilized. |
Purity : | >90% by SDS Page and analyzed by silver stain. |
Formulation : | This recombinant protein was 0.2 µm filtered and lyophilized from modified Dulbecco's phosphate buffered saline (1X PBS) pH 7.2 – 7.3 with no calcium, magnesium, or preservatives. |
Endotoxin : | <1.0 EU/µg as determined by the LAL method. |
Biological Activity : | The biological activity of Human CD27 was determined by its ability to inhibit the proliferation of mouse T cells induced by recombinant mouse CD27 ligand (10 μg/ml, 100 μl/well) and a sub-optimal concentration of anti-CD3. The expected ED50 is typically 0.75 - 3 μg/ml. |
Storage And Stability : | This lyophilized protein is stable for six to twelve months when stored desiccated at -20°C to -70°C. After aseptic reconstitution, this protein may be stored at 2°C to 8°C for one month or at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles. See Product Insert for exact lot specific storage instructions. |
