Description : This protein possesses unique pharmacologicalproperties for regulation of body weight and lipid metabolism. It is a keycomponent in controlling energy homeostasis. Recently, ADIPOQ has been shownto inhibit the proliferation of myelomonocytic progenitors.

Biological Activity : Determined by itsability to inhibit the proliferation of mouse myeloid cell lines M1. The ED50is < 1-3 µg/ml.
Reconstitution : Centrifuge vialprior to opening. First add sterile distilled water to the vial to fully solubilizethe protein to a concentration of 1.0 mg/ml. After complete solubilization ofthe protein, it can be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Storage : Store lyophilizedprotein at -20°C to -80°C. Reconstituted protein is stable for 1 week at2-4°Cor in working aliquots at -20°C for longer storage. Avoid repeatedfreeze-thaw cycles.
