Description : | Chlamydia is a common term for infection with any bacterium belonging to the phylum Chlamydiae. This term derives from the name of the bacterial genus Chlamydiain the family Chlamydiaceae, order Chlamydiales, class and phylum Chlamydiae. There are two genera in Chlamydiaceae: Chlamydia and Chlamydophila. The genus Chlamydia includes three species: C. trachomatis, C. muridarum, and C. suis. |
Form : | 20mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.2, 1.5M urea and 50% glycerol. |
Purity : | Protein is >90% pure as determined by SDS- PAGE. |
Applications : | Chlamydia W5 is suitable for use in ELISA. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded. |
Usage : | The products are furnished for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as drugs, agricultural or pesticidal products, food additives or household chemicals. |
Stability : | Chlamydia W5 although stable at 4°C for 1 week, should be stored below -18°C. Please prevent freeze thaw cycles. |
Specificity : | Immunoreactive with sera of Chlamydia Trachomatis infected individuals. |
