Species : Human
Source : HEK293
Tag : His
ProteinLength : Ser23-Phe202
Description : The protein encoded by this gene is a pleiotropic cytokine with roles in several different systems. It is involved in the induction of hematopoietic differentiation in normal and myeloid leukemia cells, induction of neuronal cell differentiation, regulator of mesenchymal to epithelial conversion during kidney development, and may also have a role in immune tolerance at the maternal-fetal interface. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2012]
Form : Powder
Bio-activity : Measured in a cell proliferation assay using TF-1 human erythroleukemic cells. The ED50 for this effect is typically 0.1-0.3 ng/mL.
Endotoxin : Endotoxin level is less than 0.1 EU/μg of the protein, as determined by the LAL test.
Purity : > 95% (by SDS-PAGE)
Applications : FuncSt, SDS-PAGE
Notes : For laboratory research only, not for drug, diagnostic or other use.
Storage : Lyophilized protein should be stored at -20°C or -80°C. After reconstitution, aliquot and store at -20°C for up to one month, at 2-8°C for up to one week. Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Suggest spin the vial prior to opening.
Storage Buffer : PBS (pH 7.4)
Reconstitution : Reconstitute to a concentration of 0.1-0.5 mg/ml in sterile distilled water.
