• Product Overview: Phosphoglucose isomerase catalyzes the conversion of fructose-6-phosphate to glucose-6-phosphate, which is then further converted to 6-phosphoglucono-δ-lactone under the action of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, simultaneously converting NADP to NADPH. NADPH has a characteristic absorption peak at 340 nm, and the rate of change in absorbance can be used to characterize the activity of phosphoglucose isomerase.
